Lives Changed Because of Free Bible Study Lessons!

You come into contact with a stranger. He is very friendly, kind, and seems to demonstrate many of the characteristics of a good person. But He doesn’t have what you have, and doesn’t know that he desperately needs it, and you may not realize that he needs it. Hopefully before long in the conversation you’ll realize his need and begin to help him see it for himself.

But what is it that you have, and he needs? It’s the Gospel– the realization of sin and death, turning from it in repentance and turning to God, understanding that only through Jesus’ shed blood can one be forgiven and accepted.

Think about the importance of the Gospel. It’s a matter of life and death! The Bible shows us very clearly just how important it is to be sharing this Gospel, “And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.’” (Mark 16:15) “Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.” (Colossians 4:5) How are you doing with that “making the best use of the time” command? In your average day how many people do you strike up conversations with about God and the Bible? You may talk about a variety of things, but before you walk away, have they heard at least something small about the God you love?

Since sharing God with people is definitely the best possible use of time, what is there that could help you share?

• Growth in your relationship with God occurs when you spend time in His Word and meditate on Him, and the results of growth will overflow into every area of your life, including your everyday conversations! There is always a danger for those who have placed their trust in Jesus to slack in their growth as a believer, most often because of the time it takes (as with any relationship). But it must be done in order to experience the incomparable joy of God’s presence, and will also benefit others. One particular study that would be beneficial to you and in your outreach to others would be a chronological Bible study. You will better be able to understand how the Bible is one continuing story about God’s work, and that bigger picture will allow you to clearly share with those who need what you have. There are free chronological studies out there, so don’t give up on the search!

• As you establish a consistent time of personal growth in your own relationship with God, take those Bible studies and share them with others. Some might be excellent to share with friends who also believe, and there may be some that you can give to an unbelieving friend. As an unbeliever watches your life and sees the joy and peace you have, he or she may be accepting of a study that helps him see what gives you that spirit. The chronological Bible study is a good, solid foundation to build on, and will help unbelievers see the big picture from the beginning. And offering these studies free-of-charge might just be a step in changing the attitude of a stubborn person.

You never know how a life might be changed for eternity by your faithfulness in studying and sharing. One individual who had received a free chronological Bible study declared that his life would never be the same because of what he’d learned, and he was eager to pass the study along to others. Such stories aren’t uncommon, unless you never take the time to pass along free Bible study lessons. What’s hindering you?

Q&A: Is it likely that people want a free “Bible Study” from JWs if they would first start with WTS’ history?

Monday, October 11th, 2010

Question by Nina, BaC: Is it likely that people want a free “Bible Study” from JWs if they would first start with WTS’ history?
Why is this?
JWs = Jehovah’s Witnesses
WTS = Watchtower Society, JWs’ organization
Loyal One: So, I have hatered to JWs, but they can come door to door to question our beliefs and they do not have the hatered.

If they claim to be the only true God’s organization, then they should be able to take my questions about their teachings?

I am also talking to real Jehovah’s Witnesses. We love each other. They even told me that I do not have to be Jehovah’s Witness to be saved.

A Bible study is just that–a study of the Bible. You could use one big time. It may relieve your obsession and hatred for a single religious group that guides itself by the Bible.

BTW, we don’t hide our history. At one time, we used to celebrate holidays like Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. But after doing research, it was found that these holidays were of pagan origins. So, we no longer involve ourselves in false religion.

Jehovah’s Witnesses use to display the cross on their buildings and literature. But it was later learned that the cross is pagan, so it was removed from our worship of Jehovah.

What about other professed Christian religions? Surprisingly enough, they are well aware that Christmas and the other religious holidays originated in paganism, but they still practice a defiled worship.

I see nothing wrong with looking into the past of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It will tell you how far we have come in the last one hundred years or so. We have nothing to hide. How about you?

“If they claim to be the only true God’s organization, then they should be able to take my questions about their teachings?”

We invite all honest-hearted people to question us. But the Bible shows that not all questions are posed in an effort to gain knowledge. For instance, through the serpent in the Garden of Eden, Satan asked Eve: “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” (Gen. 3:1) Was Satan on a fact-finding mission? No. He asked Eve that question to sow doubts in her mind about obeying the Creator concerning the Forbidden Fruit. By the same token, you ask questions about Jehovah’s Witnesses in an effort to put them in a bad light. You are not after anything good by your barage of questions about us. But you must know that your smear campaign will not succeed. I invite you to attend one of our district conventions this summer and see the thousands of people who have taken their stand for Jehovah, the God of true worship.

Tips on How Free Bible Study Lesson Can be Life-Changing

Tips on How Free Bible Study Lesson Can be Life-Changing

You have something I need. Actually, it’s something I MUST have. But there’s a problem. You don’t know I need it, and I don’t know that you have it, or that I need it…yet.

So what is this “something” that I must have? Well, it’s called the Truth– belief in Jesus Christ as the only Savior from sin and death. Stop and think for a minute about how many people you come into contact with on an average day. How many do you stop and talk to about God? How many people do you see on a regular basis and have conversed with on numerous topics…except on the topic of your faith? If believers claim to have the truth that saves individuals from eternal destruction and separation from God, shouldn’t there be an urgency to share it? It is a matter of life and death, and a direct command from God: “He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” (Mark 16:15) “Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.” (Colossians 4:5)

Is there anything to help us make the most of every opportunity? I am convinced that there is:

• First of all it’s important that you understand the Bible yourself. If you aren’t a student of the Word who desires to know God better every day, how can you tell others about Him and encourage them to trust Him? It would be like telling them, “Just know enough to get saved, then you’ll be okay.” The Bible encourages us to, “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18) There are many free Bible study lessons offered on the internet that can help you know God better. If you’ve never done so before, I suggest a study that takes you through the Bible chronologically (and there are free ones out there). I think you’ll be amazed and blessed to see how the Bible is one continuing story centered on what God has done, is doing, and will do in the world in which we live.

• After realizing the importance of personal growth, you can then take Bible study lessons and pass them on to others. Those free studies that take you through the Bible chronologically are excellent tools to give to people who don’t know anything about God or the Bible. Tell them that they can read through and decide for themselves whether or not to believe the Bible (few who go through such a study and see the big picture will remain undecided about the truth), or you can even offer to go through with them to help make sure they understand. I find it helpful to keep a stash of chronological study books in my vehicle that I think will help unbelievers see the truth clearly. It costs me a bit to purchase the books, but when considering the cost, which is greater, the price paid for some books, or an eternal soul?

Recently I gave a chronological Bible study book to someone to help them see the big picture about God and the world in which we live, and was encouraged to hear, “Thank you so much for giving me that book to read! It changed my life, and now I’m passing it along to as many people as I can, and am also reading much more!” You never know how many lives will be changed by you giving away free Bible study lessons, and your own life will never be the same as you learn more about God and share Him with others!

So what’s the delay?
